41st Division On Noemfoor Island
The battle was a Noemfoor landing operations of the Allied forces under the code name Operation Table tennis on the island occupied by Japanese units Noemfoor in Dutch New Guinea during the Pacific War during World War II. Noemfoor, located in the Geelvinkbaai and the Schouten Islands belong, was occupied during the Japanese invasion of Southeast Asia. The exact date is not known, since the island did not matter in September 1943 to re-roofed Japanese defense strategy.
