VETERAN'S STORY
David Wayne Patchett

David Patchett was born in Idaho on March 25, 1970. Out of nine brothers he and his brother Mike were the only ones who served. He was enlisted to go at the age of 17 but of course had to wait until high school was over to go. David worked on jets on the ejection seats on jets but every marine is an infartreement even though his job was a jet mechanic. He served in Desert storm, traveling to many places including Japan, the Philippians, Europe and much more. . David talks about his overall experience saying, “I was in the desert for most of his time in the Marines and every day it was usually 120 degrees.”Finally David says “ Out of the whole experience the part I will always remember will be my friends. To this day we still keep in touch.” After the wars David went on to become a Sheriff Deputy first in Idaho then in Oregon getting awarded a medal of valor and many appearances on television as well as an interview.
