Frederick Grant
When my Uncle, Frederick Grant enlisted into the military, he was 21 years old and has been serving his country for the past 19 years. He has been involved in conflict all around Afghanistan. During the conflict he received numerous medals including the Bronze Star, one of the top 10 medals to be received for meritorious service. Fred Grant is not finished serving, however he has been defending the United States for over 19 years, also participating in the JSOC (joint special operations command) studying special operations to ensure equipment stabilization. Additionally, SFC Grant is currently the NCOIC of the Special Forces Group (Airborne) Static Line Jumpmaster program, working in the Special Forces Advanced Skills Company. This means that he is in charge of teaching other members of the military how to properly jump out of planes and land safely. He is a master Parachutist. Over his time with the Army, SFC Grant has been awarded the Bronze Star, the Joint Commendation Medal, The Meritorious Service Medal along with many others. Sergeant Frederick Grant is currently married with 5 children and plans to retire from the army after 20 years of service in April of 2021.
