VETERAN'S STORY
Wallace Lloyd

Sergeant Wallace Lloyd is a proud marine and son of Major Calvin A. Lloyd. He enlisted shorty after WWII and had served in the Korean war.

Sergeant Wallace Lloyd was born in 1928 in Quantico, West Virginia. He was the youngest of twelve siblings, seven of which were boys. His brothers were dedicated to their service. Six of the seven men joined the Marines and the seventh served in the Army. His father, Calvin A. Lloyd, was a well-respected Major in the Marines. The Marine shooting range in Quantico is named after his dad. During the war, he was a motor mechanic. He experienced very little combat. He started off as a private, then moved on to become a sergeant during his service. He was a proud marine, and would most certainly go back if needed.
