B-29 "Superfortress" planes are shown at Yokota Air Base, Japan. In their role of the "big stick" in the Korean War, high flying "Superforts" make nightly attacks against key military targets in North Korea and along the enemy's frontlines, where their deep-penetrating explosives silence gun positions, destroy and damage bunkers and inflict Red troop casualties.
