Korean War Series398
This photo, taken at a U.S. Air Force 17th Bomb Wing in Korea, shows a B-26 night-flying "Marauder" in a waiting pose. Mission completed-- "Invader" is nestled in its parking area. Soon, maintenance men will arrive to give it a thorough going over for another upcoming night mission. The twin engine bombers, flying nightly patrol of Red supply lanes, destroy supply-laden vehicles attempting to reach the front under cover of darkness. They also slam their ordnance into key military targets deep in North Korea and along the battleline. May 1953
