Korean War Series400
A bright sun beams its rays through clouded skies on a U.S. Air Force 17th Bomb Wing B-26 "Marauder" parked on a hardstand at a UN airbase in Korea, waiting to be loaded for another night combat bombing mission against Communist military targets. The B-26 twin-engine light bombers mount after-dark strikes against enemy supply movements, blasting vehicle convoys and rail traffic deep in North Korea. The Fifth Air Force B-26 "Invaders" also fly close air support for positions and supply buildups. The B-26s play a vital part in the air war against the Reds. June 1953
