Frederick Marvin Rutledge

Frederick grew up in Fresno California during the great depression. Before going into the army he worked varius odd jobs including paper route. Afetr high school he entered fresno state as a history major but quit school in 1942 and joined the infantry. He saw his first action in the philippines and then towards the end of the war in korea. He recieved several medals for his time and got a combat infantry badge. After the war, he never talked with his family about his time served. Those who knew him described him as kind and strict.
